ST David’s Bonda Girls High Under-14 and U-17 softball teams travel to Milton High School in Bulawayo to represent Manicaland province after winning the provincial finals last week.

Four teams participated at the provincials and among the top teams were Mount Selinda High School, St Joseph’s High School, Sakubva High 1 and the host school.
 
In an interview, Bonda sports organiser Gerald Useya, said softball games were organised in a league-like system and were played throughout the year.
“We had round-robins throughout the year as the games were organised in a league-like system. It was tough for the team during the group stages. We are happy that our two teams have pulled through to the national finals.
 
“We hope to continue excelling even at the national finals which will be played in Bulawayo next week. I believe the team will excel and make the province proud,” said Useya.
