Pasuwa Needs Support: Rahman
Chicken Inn Coachn Rahman Gumbo believes Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa needs support from all football stakeholders if Zimbabwe is to achieve its targets at the African Nations Cup in Gabon next year.
Gumbo who was assistant to Sunday Chidzambwa when the Warriors made their maiden appearance at the continental showpiece implored football stakeholders to plug all loopholes that had affected the team before.
“Pasuwa really needs support from all of us if we really need to go far as a nation at this tournament," said Gumbo.
“We have a talented team which can go far in this tournament, if we do things right.
“We need to get the team into camp early and secure friendly matches with the beast teams in Africa to gauge our strength."
The Chicken Inn coach also said that as former coaches who have been at the grand occasion before, they are open to offer advice to Pasuwa.
"It’s up to him to consult if he feels the need to do so. But us we are open to offer support and advice should he need it," added Gumbo.
The former Warriors coach sits on the Zifa high performance committee which also has former Warriors coaches Sunday Chidzambwa, Moses Chunga and former Chapungu goalkeeper Innocent Chogugudza.
