OK Grand Challenge Champions Relocates To South Africa

OK Grand Challenge former champion Duffi’s Call has called it a day on the local races as she has relocated to South Africa.

It has been a year when the special Champion Duffi's Call won her first start at Borrowdale Racecourse and she never looked back.

She then went on to achieve more in her three-year-old career as she won six races out of 10 starts and has always been in the placings.

Yesterday she started her new journey after she heads to SA where she will now race under the care of Alec Laird.

Trainer Bridget Stidolph wished one of her best runners all the best in her new endeavours across Limpopo and she said they know she will do them proud.

“There will be tears tomorrow when she leaves, and we all wish her and Sunmark Syndicate the very best and I know she will make us proud.

Meanwhile four-year-old, Invincible Swan, by Century Stand won her first race since June 19 when she won sable flyers race at Borrowdale Racecourse yesterday.

The runner had last won in the 1100meters, beating Rebel Soldier having finished third on May 22 in her maiden 1200 meters race.

On Sunday she beat Carla The Rebel to second place on 2.00 lenses as veteran JP V'D Merwe pulled the straps Lance Pagels and his partner came second.

Carla The Rebel, a four-time winner with a Merit Rating of 67, had the top weight of 60 kgs, and proved that her previous form was no fluke.

Uptown Gal, by Miesque’s Approval (USA) was a lightly raced four-year-old having only had two starts and her last race was on March 20 but returned to claim third place.

Uptown girl also finished fourth to Domboshava over 1000m weight but well clear of Cool Start and Go Galaxy.
