Musona Set For ABSA Premiership Debut

Former FC Platinum forward Walter Musona is set to make his ABSA Premiership bow on Sunday when his new club Polokwane City faces off against Tapuwa Kapini’s Highlands Park at Makhulong Stadium.

The game kicks off at 3:30PM.

Musona who is younger brother to Zimbabwe national team’s talisman Knowledge, has received his work permit and is likely to line up alongside fellow countryman and keeper George Chigova.

Polokwane coach Luc Eymel has confirmed that Musona will travel to Highlands Park alongside another new boy Salulani Phiri of Zambia who plays at D-Link.

"Yes, Musona and Phiri are available for selection on Sunday, but like every player in the team it depends on whether they make the [starting line-up]," Eymael told Kick Off.

The 22-year-old Musona joined Rise and Shine during the recent transfer window from Zimbabwean-based outfit FC Platinum, while Phiri, also 22, arrived from Zambian giants Zanaco.
