Team captain Admire Chingozhoro was proud of their performance at the tournament in Japan and believes they could have done better if they had not fallen victims of foul officiating.
“It was a tough tournament dominated by the Japanese but the Zimbabwean team of four conquered. Led by the first World Champion from Africa, Sensei Samson Muripo who was the semi finalist.
“There was Lovemore Nyamutswa and Admire Chingozhoro who reached the quarter finals and Naison Chituwa who was controversially beaten in the last 16 by the referees decision . Referees too biased,” said Chingozhoro.
The team is expected home on Thursday.
