Huge Relief for Kaindu As He Finally Breaks Dynamos Jinx
Kelvin Kaindu finally exorcised the ghost that had haunted him for years, after beating Dynamos for the first time since he took up coaching in Zimbabwe in 2012.
The How Mine coach was however critical of Dynamos reception after the Glamour Boys tried to play mind games against them after putting rotten meat in the dressing room.
“It’s not football, we know they are desperate for a win but what Dynamos did to us is not good. As I was praying, I could smell something rotten and my assistants came with the pieces of meat. We have the photos of what we saw and we also showed the match commissioner,” added Kaindu.
The Zambian feels the victory over Dynamos after having failed to beat them for a long time whilst in charge of Highlanders and Triangle will spur them to go far in the tournament.
Goalkeeper Bernard Donovan was the hero for How Mine, saving two penalties from Wisdom Mutasa and Tatenda Mukuruva before scoring the decisive penalty. The match had ended in a goalless draw in regulation time.
