HARARE CITY defender Arnold Chivheya is confident they will continue with their recent good run when they face tricky Tsholotsho in a Caste Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro tomorrow. The tough-tackling defender said he is hopeful their draw against FC Platinum at Mandava last week will boost the team’s morale.
“We are ready for Tsholotsho and they are a side we will not underrate as they are unpredictable and can cause an upset,” said Chivheya.
“Coming up with a draw away to FC Platinum should be a starting point for us and we need to pick ourselves up and playing teams like Tsholothso is always tricky as they give all their best.
“The team is taking shape and we are happy that results have been favourable to us at home and I believe we will continue like that.”
Harare City have collected six points from the two games they played at home, but their opponents will visit the capital confident after they snatched four points from the Sunshine Boys last season.
Coach Taurai Mangwiro said his men should never underrate any team in the Premiership.
“The boys were working hard the past days and we need to do better than last year’s results,” said Mangwiro.
“We still have injuries in James Jam, Ronald Chitiyo, Tanaka Ruzvidzo as well as Tatenda Munditi who are all out, but we welcome back the duo of Martin Vengesai and Maxwell Nyamupanedengu.”
