EXCITEMENT has gripped the local Pool fraternity ahead of this year’s Carling Black Label National finals set for Mutare Motoring Club in Mutare on Saturday.

A total of 96 participants from both the male and female categories will plunge into battle to determine the best of the best in Zimbabwe.

64 men and 32 women will participate this year.

“The CBL National Pool Championship has so far been the largest pool tournament. Slightly over 2 1500 pool players have participated in the regional competitions this year, an increase of about 150 players compared to last year,” reads a statement from the sponsors, Carling Black Label.

Last year’s finals were held in Gweru.
