
Chess Grand Master Emannuel Chidamahiya Move Up World Rankings
ZIMBABWE chess grand master Emannuel Chidamahiya is now ranked among the top 20 players in the world.
In the latest standings released on Thursday, Chidamahiya who is based in South Africa is now ranked 16th in the world up from from position 29 he was ranked two months ago.
The grandmaster has accumulated 2 128 162, is now targeting the top ten before te end of 2016.
“I have been working so hard and results are now starting to come. I am going to continue playing and now I am targeting more points which is by playing against those who are ranked higher than me.
“I have been playing the game since high school at Chipindura and later on I was a national champion while at Chinhoyi University. Relocating to south Africa has also helped me improve my game as there is more competition this side,” said Chidamahiya.
