Byo Bomber Takes On British Fighter
South Africa based Zimbabwean fighter Elvis Bulawayo bomber Moyo believes tonight's Extreme Fighting Championship fight against England based Stuart 'He-Man' Austin will be an ideal opportunity to send a clear message to European fighters that there is a cage king in Africa.
Moyo gets to the ring against the Englishman at the Sun City bawl in a main event fight that will also be live on Sabc 3 and he says he is ready to send a message while warning his opponent of immense pain.
"It is an opportunity to send my name outside there in Europe, send a message because this guy scrapped a win in the Bellator Mixed Martial Art's where and became a champion. Some fighters have gone with him over two three rounds so when I knock him out fast in spectacular fashion, he does not only take the loss back to England but my name. They will know that there is Elvis out there in Africa who can beat the other 12 guys he has beaten and even the two that have beaten him and naturally I will become of interest in Europe, this is how you move from one stage to another," said Moyo during an interview soon after the morning weigh in yesterday where he weighed 118kg.
A confident Moyo said his fight tonight will not be any different from his other previous duels.
"My fights are basically the same, I get into the cage, smash someone and how they respond is what determines where the fight goes, some start running, some get desperate and come running forward to grab but once I punch you then you will know what it’s all about," said Moyo.
He said he knows that Austin's strength is judo and would therefore not give him the opportunity to exercise that.
"Before I hit him he will be composed but after I land a punch or steep jab on him his response will be in two ways, either he will start to go backwards trying to pull me to the cage or he will quickly rush forward to try and take my feet and take me down but l am also prepared for that because these days I practice a lot on the ground and if he takes me there I will be able to come out," said Moyo.
It’s the first time for the Englishman to fight in Africa but he seems confident. "I have never fought in my home town,” he said. 'I am the guy who goes to everyone else's town and beats them up," he is quoted saying in the efcworldwide.com.
