Bulawayo City Targets Another Harare Club For Survival

Jubilant Bulawayo City still buoyant from their last week’s stunning victory over Caps United are targeting to collect maximum points against Harare City on Friday in their quest to avoid relegation.

Although they are on position eight on the log standings with 28 points, interim coach Try Ncube believes his team is still far from safety and must win the encounter against Harare City at Rufaro stadium.

“We are still in the relegation matrix because if you look at most of the teams, they are piled between 20 and 30 points. A slip up means we can go down,” said Ncube.

“We are up against Harare City which is a good team and also coached by one of the best coaches in the country, Moses Chunga. We respect them for that but we are into this match to fight for survival and we are gunning for three points which will resonate well with our target.”

The last time they were in Harare, Bulawayo City put up a spirited performance to come from behind and force a 1-1 draw against Dynamos.

Bulawayo City are  enjoying a purple patch under interim coach Ncube in which they are still to lose a match drawing twice,  against Hwange and Dynamos before dispatching  Caps United 3-1 with a clinical display at Barbourfields. Trevor Ndlovu scored a brace while Mkhululi Moyo scored the other goal.
