Pakistan A 358 (Abbas 137, Ali 62, Ashraf 61*, Cremer 4/82, Mpofu 3/61)
Zimbabwe A lead by 111 runs with 9 wickets remaining

SKIPPER Graeme Cremer led a spirited Zimbabwe A bowling show in the afternoon session to put his team in firm control over Pakistan A on the penultimate day of the unofficial Test cricket match at Queens Sports Club on Tuesday.

Cremer collected four for 82 runs, lanky seamer Christopher Mpofu picked up three for 61 and one wicket apiece was taken by pace bowler Donald Tiripano and off spinner Sikandar Raza with Pakistan A bowled out for 358 runs in their first innings to give Zimbabwe A, who made 444 in their first innings a lead of 86 runs.

At stumps on day three, Zimbabwe A were on 25 for the loss of one wicket in 13 overs to take a lead of111 runs.

Opener Zain Abbas top scored for the tourists with 137 runs from 305 deliveries. He combined with Saad Ali for fourth wicket, their partnership worth 150 runs.

Zimbabwe A bowlers were made to really work hard especially during a fruitless morning session during which they did not get any wickets. The bowling was weakened by the absence of seamer Michael Chinouya who is allergic to jacaranda trees.

Zimbabwe A will look to further stretch their lead to give Pakistan A a massive challenge when they chase.
With the pitch now starting to turn, slow bowlers on either side have a big role to play in deciding the outcome of the match.
