The 2017 edition of the Zimbabwe Open Golf Championships preparations are going at a snail pace as less than a month is only left yet they are still to engage sponsors.

The tournament is scheduled for Harare Royal from April 20-23 with scores of world class players expected to turn up for the annual event.

Re-launched in 2010 after a nine year absent and regained its place on South Africa’s “Sunshine Tour the tournament will be expected to have a new sponsor or Delta to renew their partnership.

In 2010 a total of 12 sponsors come together and raised the required $250 000 prize money and it was through the Zambezi Tour.

The deal between Zambezi Tour and Delta Beverages expired last year after the three years and delta are still to come forward with another contract.
