
ZC Announces New National Club Competition
The new Zimbabwe Cricket Premier League - a national club cricket competition - is expected to get underway on July 30 and will mark a new era for domestic cricket.
Eight teams will be involved in the 50-over one-day games competition, with the side finishing with the most points after seven rounds of matches winning the championship.
The league comprises of teams from Harare Metropolitan and Mashonaland Central (Takashinga Patriots I and II, and Rainbow), while Bulawayo Metropolitan and Matabeleland North will provide two sides (Amakhosi and Inkatha).
Eastern Lions will represent Manicaland and Mashonaland East while Mashonaland West and Midlands will be represented by Muzvezve Tigers.
