AUDIO: Angry Zimbabwe Cricket fans after another dismal performance by Chevrons

Zimbabwe cricket fans finally cracked as the senior men's national team put another dismal showing at Harare Sports Club, losing by 8 wickets to India and losing the One Day International Killer Cup series. The past decade has seen teams like Afghanistan, Bangladesh who were Zimbabwe's whipping boys suddenly winning against the locals. Bigger teams like South Africa, Pakistan and India have sent second or third string sides but still managing to win. In all this, the fans who call themselves members of the Zimbabwe Cricket Supporters Association continued to sing, praise, dance at all the home matches but Monday became a turning point as they turned on the team.

Put in to bat first after India won the toss, the hosts lost the first 3 wickets for 39 runs. Sikander Raza and Vusi Sibanda then putting up a 69 run partnership, things then took a horrible turn after Raza's dismissal with 106 runs on the board. Three quick wickets fell, leaving the hosts at 107-6 and that was the point when fans who usually sit on the Castle Corner singing, self proclaimed members of the Zimbabwe Cricket Supporters Association became very vocal, taking out their placards with different messages denouncing the teams and shouting to the players. The fans who had abandoned their traditional corner, left a huge placard written WHAT A SHAME, sat on another unfamiliar bay.

India has won the three match series, going 2-0 following their 9 wicket win on Saturday at the same venue. The last match is on Wednesday followed by three T20s.
