
Warriors Fall On World Rankings
Zimbabwe dropped two places to 111th on the FIFA world rankings released Thursday morning.
The Warriors, who played a goalless draw against Zambia in a FIFA sanctioned international friendly a fortnight ago, are now ranked 30th in Africa.
Malawi, Swaziland, Mozambique and Namibia who all failed to qualify for the 2017 Afcon finals are ranked above Zimbabwe.
2017 Afcon runners up Egypt are on pole position, followed by Senegal while African champions Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Nigeria complete the CAF top five.
Neymar fronted Brazil, who became the first team to qualify for the 2018 World Cup finals last week, are now the world’s best team followed Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
Germany are third, Chile are fourth and Colombia fifth.
