Ngezi Injury Blow
NGEZI Platinum captain Patson Jaure has failed to recover in time for the CAPS United game at Baobab on Wednesday.
Jaure missed How Mine and Yadah games and his coach Tonderai Ndiraya was hoping he would be fit for the massive clash.
“Jaure is out of the game. He is our captain so I guess you know what it means when your captain is not part of the team. But we will have to try and do without him like we have done in the past matches,” Ndiraya said.
Last year CAPS United drew 1-1 with Ngezi Platinum at Baobab and then lost the other leg at National Sports Stadium.
A lot of things have changed since then.
CAPS United went on to win the league title while Ngezi Platinum made a great comeback in the second half of the season to survive relegation.
Ngezi are top of the log with nine points while CAPS United have only won once in three games, settling for draws in the other two matches.
“In terms of fitness there is no doubt both teams are up there and it should be an exciting match. We know this will not be easy for us and we are ready for a bruising battle,” Ndiraya added.
