Zvirekwi Discharged From Hospital

AMPUTATED Caps United skipper Hardlife Zvirekwi was released from hospital Thursday morning amid indications that the former Warriors player could recover faster than expected.

Zvirekwi was admitted at Parirenyatwa hospital on Monday after suffering injuries to his left hand in a horrific accident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday.

Caps United chief executive officer Cuthbert Chitima says Zvirekwi is a strong person who is eager to come back and play.

“Hardy is now feeling okay. I think he is a strong person. For him, he’s just forward to come back and play. That’s the spirit in him.

“I am sure we are going to be guided by what the doctors are going to say. If need be, as a team we are definitely going to assist him get treatment elsewhere,” Chitima said.

Zvirekwi has since been deregistered from the Caps United 2018 squad, at least until the mid-season transfer window.

He has been replaced by Oscar Machapa.
