Zimbabwe's Teenage Striker Impresses At Maritzburg Utd
A 19-year-old Zimbabwean striker Junior Zindoga is now in the books of ABSA Premiership side Maritzburg United marking a remarkable rise of a player who never played any professional football until his move to South Africa four weeks ago.
Zindoga, a former St Georges High school student, signed a four year contract with Maritzburg United and is seen as a long term replacement for fellow Zimbabwean Evans Rusike who moved to SuperSport United in January.
After completing his studies at St Georges in Harare, Zindoga went to Sweden for a six-week attachment with FC Djugarderns who are home to Warriors striker Tino Kadewere between April and May 2017.
He then went for trials with Mamelodi Sundowns in July last year but could not impress Pitso Mosimane, the Brazilians coach.
His dream come true in January when Maritzburg United opened the doors for the highly rated Zimbabwean striker.
