Zimbabwean Winger Back On Chiefs Radar
WARRIORS winger Kuda Mahachi could become the latest Zimbabwean to join Kaizer Chiefs as reports in South Africa indicate that Amakhosi appear to have rekindled their interest in the Golden Arrows attacker.
Chiefs could lure the exciting Mahachi to Naturena before the beginning of the 2017/2018 ABSA Premiership season, Soccer Laduma reported Wednesday morning.
The 23-year-old Bantu Rovers product, who scored a brilliant goal when Zimbabwe drew 2-2 against Algeria in a 2017 Afcon finals group game in January, was heavily linked with a move to the Amakhosi at the start of the season.
However, the player publicly explained that he turned the move down because of a loyalty that he felt to Arrows.
Mahachi has been pivotal for Arrows so far this season, after making his move from Mamelodi Sundowns permanent.
His performances have reignited interest from Kaizer Chiefs who remain convinced with what the Zimbabwean can produce.
It is also interesting to note that Chiefs’ foreign quota is full due to the presence of Michelle Katsvairo, Edmore Chirambadare (both Zimbabwean), Gustavo Paez, Camaldine Abraw and Lewis Macha.
However, reports say one or more of them could potentially leave at the end of the campaign.
Chiefs will have to pump out a substantial amount for Mahachi who only signed for Golden Arrows this season.
