ZIMBABWE risk being booted out of the 2017 Afcon finals as there are fears the Warriors might not reach Conakry in time for their last Group L against hosts Guinea on Sunday.

Despite getting a last minute financial injection of 68 000 from mobile giant NetOne Friday afternoon, ZIFA are still to get confirmation of the connecting flights to Conakry.

ZIFA are making frantic efforts to ensure the Warriors depart Harare at around 230AM Saturday for Addis Ababa but the connecting flight to Conakry is still to be finalised.

Warriors manager Sharif Musa confirmed the hiccup but referred the matter to ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa who sounded confident a last gasp plan would be hatched.

Should the connecting flight fail to materialize, there strong chances the Warriors might fail to reach Conakry on Sunday.

In that event, provided ZIFA also fail to communicate their predicament to the Confederation of African Football, then Zimbabwe could be booted out of the 2017 finals.
