ZIMBABWE’S Warriors will have a different coach for their upcoming assignments in the Cosafa Cup and CHAN qualifiers because Norman Mapeza will not be released by his club FC Platinum.

Mapeza was the interim coach when Zimbabwe beat Liberia 3-0 in a 2019 Afcon qualifier at the National Sports last Sunday.

Zifa president Philip Chiyangwa has confirmed that the Warriors will be led by different coaches.

Ngezi Platinum Stars’ Tonderai Ndiraya and Bulawayo City’s Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu have been assisting Mapeza.

There has been pressure on Mapeza by employers at FC Platinum to concentrate on the Zvishavane miners as they attempt to win their first league title.

Zimbabwe have Cosafa Cup assignments end of June before beginning their CHAN 2018 journey with an away qualifier in Namibia on July 14.

The Warriors will resume their Afcon qualifiers in 2018.
