Zifa Skirt Parly

Zifa president Philip Chiyangwa and his executive committee members failed to turn up at Parliament where they were supposed to explain the state of the game in Zimbabwe.

Authorities from the football mother body and the Premier Soccer League were summoned to appear before the Portfolio Committee on Education, Sports, Arts and Culture on Thursday morning.

The committee is chaired by Matobo North Member of Parliament Never Kanye.

Zifa and PSL are currently embroiled in a dispute over the number of teams to be promoted into the top flight league with the former insisting all the four winners from the Division One Leagues should be automatically promoted.

The PSL want two teams to be demoted and the same number up.

Zifa sent an apology to Parliament while the PSL officials who attended requested more days since there is no substantive chairman at the league following the suspension of Peter Dube by the football mother body.
