Yadah Survive, Trouble For Council Backed Teams – Harare And Bulawayo City

Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance side Yadah survived relegation from the Castle Lager PSL after beating Highlanders 2-1 at Rufaro Stadium in their penultimate game of the season.

Despite missing a penalty 10 minutes from the breather, Yadah who were trailing Bosso through a Ralph Matema goal levelled matters on the stroke of half-time through captain Jimmy Dzingai with Rodreck Mutuma scoring the winner two minutes into the second half.

The result moved Yadah to 40 points - a mark which any of the relegation-haunted teams won’t be able to reach with only one round of games left before the end of the 2017 season.

Elsewhere, Hwange moved out of the relegation zone for the first time since the appointment of Coach Bigboy Mawiwi in July with a 2-0 win over Harare City at the Colliery Stadium. Elvis Meleka and Delic Murimba handed Chipangano the three crucial points which lifted them out relegation. Hwange are now in 14th position while Harare City dropped down to 15th place.

At the National Sports Stadium in Harare, CAPS United were held to a goalless draw by Bulawayo City, a side which is also staring relegation in the face.

Chapungu and Chicken Inn played out a goalless draw at Ascot Stadium in Gweru while Courage Dennias scored a hat trick to hand his side maximum points against relegated Tsholotsho in a 3-0 win.
