Women Urged To Participate In Sport
FIFA grassroots coach Violet Jubane has urged women to have an active role in sport just like their male counterparts.
Women have been playing a peripheral role in professional sports but those who take it seriously like Kirsty Coventry have defied odds.
Jubane who is the holder of the prestigious FIFA master certificate urged women to venture into sports just like their male counterparts.
“It is very worrying to see that there are very few ladies who participate in sports. I, therefore, urge all women to take sports seriously and participate in any sport of their choice”, she said.
Jubane has taken her urge to help girl child in sport by voluntarily coaching the Midlands under 15 soccer team.
“I am coaching the Midlands under 15 girls soccer in a bid to promote participation of girl child in sport”.
Jubane who is also Central Soccer League administrator participated in the Cosafa women’s championship in 2017.
