Wisdom Mutasa's Future At Tanzanian Club In Doubt
THE arrival of Michelle Katsvairo at Tanzanian side Singida United has complicated the life of another Zimbabwean player Wisdom Mutasa whose future at the club is now uncertain.
Katsvairo joined the bandwagon of Zimbabwean players trekking to Tanzania after he turned down Botswana champions Township Rollers for a more lucrative offer at Singida United.
The 27-year old striker was recently advised by his South Africa club Kaizer Chiefs that he was not in the plans of coach Steve Komphela this season with the only option being to go on loan elsewhere and have his performance reviewed thereafter.
A tweet on Singida’s official account excludes Mutasa from the club’s final team because of the foreign quota.
Katsvairo will link up with four other Zimbabweans at Singida — defender Elisha Muroiwa, midfielders Tafadzwa Kutinyu, Mutasa and former CAPS United forward Simba Nhivi.
Muroiwa and Mutasa joined from Harare giants Dynamos, while Kutinyu arrived from Katsvairo’s former club Chicken Inn.
