We Will Not Disappoint The Nation - Zvirekwi

CAPS United skipper Hardlife Zvirekwi believes coach Lloyd Chitembwe has done enough to psyche Makepekepe players ahead of the CAF Champions League group phase opener against five-time champions Zamalek of Egypt in Cairo on Friday night.

Zvirekwi spoke to SportsZone before the team’s departure at the Harare International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

United left at 1:30PM.

“This is another task for Caps United and for the nation as a whole. Obviously we do not want to go out there and disappoint the nation,” Zvirekwi said.

“We will go and fight, show what we are made of. They (Zamalek) have vast experience in the African safari but we also want to make history.

“The journey started last year when we won the Zimbabwean championship and we want to finish it by winning the African cup.

“The coach has prepared us mentally and we are ready for the battle,” he said.

Caps United clash with Zamalek on Friday at 9PM and our man Petros Kausiyo is with the team and he will give us updates from Cairo.
