Chairman of the newly crowned Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions FC Platinum, Evans Mthombeni said as a club, they saw the winning of PSL Championship coming.

Speaking during an interview Mthombeni said as a team, they were confident before the game that the title was theirs to win.

“We saw this moment coming and we were confident that we were going to clinch the title. In 2014 we were number 4, in 2015 we were number 3, while in 2016 we were second placed. Winning the championship was therefore inevitable for us, it was our time to walk away with the championship this time,” said Mthombeni.

FC Platinum broke the 50-year-old record of a team outside Harare and Bulawayo to win the prestigious cup, under the guidance of gaffer Norman Mapeza.
