We Need To Maintain Our Discipline: Ndiraya

Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderai Ndiraya believes tactical discipline will be crucial in their match against resurgent Highlanders at Barbourfields stadium on Sunday.

Ndiraya said the match is likely to be explosive since the two teams are chasing contrasting fortunes with Ngezi Platinum trying to cement their stay in the league while Highlanders are looking at closing in on log leaders.

“The match is not going to be easy for us because we are up a good team who are chasing the league title. Therefore we need to maintain our discipline and focus so that we carry over from the last match,” said Ndiraya.

“We have won our last two games which is very important when going into a match like this. Confidence is high among the players but we need to be disciplined at the same time because you need to be tactical against a team like Highlanders especially when they are playing at home. We are now closer to securing our stay in the premiership so we have to do the job there and get maximum points,’ added Ndiraya.

Ngezi Platinum goes into the match buoyed by victories over Chapungu and Bulawayo City in the last two matches. Their opponents are bubbling with confidence after a morale boosting away victory to Harare City on Thursday which put them back firmly in the title race with six matches before the end of the season.
