Warriors' Striker Bonne On Target In England

UNITED KINGDOM based Zimbabwe national team striker Macauley Bonne was on target Tuesday night as England National League side Leyton Orient won 2-1 away at Halifax who are also home to another Zimbabwean player Cliff Moyo.

Bonne scored in the 18th minute before Josh Koroma made it two for Orient 20 minutes later.

Tom Denton scored for Moyo’s Halifax.

The 22-year-old Bonne is part of the British based Warriors’ foreign legion which also includes the likes of Tendai Darikwa, Admiral Muskwe and Kundai Benyu.

The quartet featured for Zimbabwe in friendlies against Lesotho and Namibia played late last year.

Moyo (24), is yet to play for the Zimbabwe national team but he has expressed his willingness.

Bonne’s Leyton Orient are 17th on the 24-team England National League while Halifax are two places down the ladder and two above relegation.

The National League is England’s fifth tier division, below the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two.
