Warriors Squad For Zambia’s Four-Nations Tournament

Zimbabwe Senior Men’s football team coach Sunday Chidzambwa has named his squad for a four-nation tournament, taking place in Zambia from March 22 to 25.

The competition will also feature South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, Angola and hosts Zambia, and will serve as preparation for the resumption of the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers in September.

Chidzambwa has included only four locally-based players while also giving first call-ups to United Kingdom-based Cliff Moyo, Adam Chicksen and Aleck Mudimu (Wales).

The COSAFA winning coach also included established players like Costa Nhamoinesu and Marvelous Nakamba who are the most capped players in the team which is missing captain Knowledge Musona, Kuda Mahachi and Khama Billiat, who are all injured.

The Squad is expected to assemble on March 19.

The Warriors will play Zambia on the 22nd of March, and, on the same day, South Africa will play against Angola.

Losing teams from the first games will play in the third and fourth place play-off on 25 March while winners play the final on the same day.
