As the storm caused by Khama Billiat’s off the field shenanigans rages on, the Warriors technical team has moved in to protect the boy and on Tuesday morning barred the Mamelodi Sundowns star forward from speaking to the media.

In an apparent show of unity with Khama, all the other national team players except for skipper Willard Katsande and his vice Cuthbert Malajila, refused to talk to the media.

Warriors coach Kallisto Pasuwa on Monday leapt to the defence of his players in the face of what he perceives as a persistent wave of attack on his troops especially Billiat.

The Sundowns player was on Tuesday morning excused from talking to the media.

“You can talk to everyone else and not Khama (Billiat),” advised Zifa spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela soon after the training session.

But to the surprise of scores of journalists who thronged Gateway School for the Tuesday morning open session, all the players were united on their stance to snub the local media.
