Warriors Resume Training
THE Warriors had a 90-minute-long training in Moanda on Monday evening, a day after they had held Algeria to a 2-2 draw.
Striker Knowledge Musona has been resting as recommended by the doctors. He will miss the Senegal clash on Thursday and return for their last group B match against Tunisia.
The Zimbabwe national team raised eyebrows here in Franceville, Gabon, after they made life difficult for Algeria in the opening group game.
Senegal coach Aliou Cisse has already pointed out that the Zimbabwe game is a massive encounter, saying he was never surprised by how they derailed another group favourite, Algeria.
“For Zimbabwe it is not my first time to see this team. I know Zimbabwe are a very good team. They have good players and they have good quality,” said Cisse.
“The game against Zimbabwe is a massive game, it is a big game. My boys want to go to the second round and if we are to do that, we must do well against Zimbabwe and win the game.
“We are very happy to start the competition with a win against Tunisia and it is very important for the confidence,” he said.
