'Warriors Players Dived'
MADAGASCAR coach Auguste Arsene Wnglor Raux thinks Zimbabwe did not deserve any penalty because Warriors players dived.
Zimbabwe drew 0-0 against Madagascar in the Cosafa Castle Cup group match at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Wednesday night but the Warriors technical team was disappointed with the referee’s calls.
Zimbabwe feel they were robbed of two clear penalties when Raphael Manuvire and Ovidy Karuru were seemingly fouled.
However, the Madagascar gaffer thinks otherwise.
“They (Zimbabwean players) but I think they dived on both occasions,” he said.
Warriors assistant coach Bongani Mafu says they were disappointed by decisions going against their way on Wednesday night.
"I thought there were decisions that were supposed to go our way, but they didn’t.
"We should have won at least a penalty. We had two incidences in the dying minutes that deserved justice.
Mafu said they expected a tough game: “It was a green match. It came quick and we expected it.
"However we are not happy although we are still breathing.
"Our weakness was on tracking and we need to fix our midfield. We were giving them too much space. We were checking and watching the runner. We have to leave our frustration and prepare for our next game against Seychelles.
Zimbabwe face Seychelles on Friday in their last Group B match whilst Madagascar face Mozambique.
Zimbabwe remain on top of the log with a superior goal difference after beating Mozambique 4-0 whilst Madagascar won 2-0 against Seychelles.
