Warriors Move A Place Up

Zimbabwe moved a place up to 110th on the FIFA World Rankings released Thursday.

The Warriors, who host Liberia in their first 2019 AFCON qualifier on June 2011, are now 29th in Africa.

2017 AFCON runners up Egypt still top the African rankings with champions Cameroon coming in at third.

Senegal (second), Burkina Faso (fourth) and Nigeria complete Africa’s top five.

South Africa’s Bafana Bafana remain stuck on 64th in the world and 12th on the continent while Zambia are 98th and 29th respectively.

Brazil still top the world rankings followed by Lionel Messi’s Argentina while Cristiano Ronaldo’s reigning European champions Portugal are eighth.

Germany, Chile and Colombia complete the world’s top five in that order.

Former world champions Spain are 10th while England are four places behind.
