THE Warriors held their first session in Franceville, Gabon Friday morning at a local stadium called Helicona as they gear up for Sunday’s Afcon opener against Algeria at the Stade de Franceville.

According to Zifa spokesperson, the boys are in high spirits and Kallisto Pasuwa will hold another session Friday evening.

Zimbabwe are making a third appearance at the Afcon finals amid high expectations from local fans who believe the Warriors can break the jinx and progress to the group stages.

The Warriors faltered at the group stage in 2004 and 2006.
