Warriors Boost As Mahachi Returns To Action
WARRIORS winger Kudakwashe Mahachi is happy with his return to ABSA premiership side Golden Arrows as he continues to add on the minutes ahead of the 2017 Afcon finals in Gabon.
There was confusion at the end of the 2015/16 season as to where Mahachi would be playing in the 2016/17 season with fears a possible return to ABSA champions Mamelodi Sundowns would limit his game time.
The former Chicken Inn winger is a key member of coach Kallisto Pasuwa’s Warriors where he has formed a lethal attacking trio with Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona.
He has also thrived in Warriors colours playing alongside Dutch based Marvelous Nakamba with whom he played academy football at Bantu Rovers.
“I attach importance to playing,” Mahachi told South African publication Kickoff.
“So it made sense that I go back to Arrows because I had a good time there last season, enjoyed the way the club plays football and I was involved.
“You have to understand that I enjoy being in a space where I am playing football regularly because I am a competitor.
“It didn’t happen in my first year at Sundowns which is why I then had to leave.
“Honestly speaking I think I was justified in returning to Arrows. If ever anything related to a move is to happen in future it will happen after I have done a job for Arrows."
Meanwhile the winger who has been missing in action due to a fracture he suffered while preparing for the Warriors match against Guinea is now expected back after the international break.
