Warriors Arrive Safely In Gabon


THE Warriors have arrived safely in the Libreville, Gabon ahead of the Afcon 2017 finals where they play North African giants Algeria in their opening game at 6PM Zimbabwean time on Sunday.

According to Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela, who is travelling with the national team, coach Kallisto Pasuwa and his men arrived in the Gabon this afternoon from Yaoundé, Cameroon where they played their last preparatory match against the Indomitable Lions on Tuesday night.

They are now due to fly out to Franceville, just over 500 kilometers from the capital, where group B matches will be played.

“We are at Libreville airport right now awaiting a few logistical arrangements,” said Gwesela.

“We will update you as soon as we are advised on our itinerary to Franceville,” he said.

The Warriors are in group B together with Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal.
