Wandering Linyama, Mupasiri Stops By CAPS United...Door Shut
Club hunting former Dynamos duo of Sydney Linyama and Farai Mupasiri went knocking at CAPS United on Tuesday hoping to impress the technical team but found the door shut.
Linyama was released by Dynamos early this year largely due to his lack of discipline than his abilities while Mupasiri was offloaded mid last season because of waning form and lack of commitment.
Linyama together with former captain Stephen Alimenda tried their luck at Chicken Inn but were rejected by Rahman Gumbo.
Mupasiri and Linyama briefly trained with CAPS United on Tuesday but coach Lloyd Chitembwe who was concentrating on his team’s CAF African Champions League preliminary round second leg tie against Lioli of Lesotho said he has already finalised his squad for this season.
“They just came here for training and football environment is very small such that you cannot turn down a player. We have signed all our players we need and maybe we will add new players in June if the need arises,” he said.
The duo refused to talk to the press about their job hunting prospects. Before coming to CAPS United for trials, multi-talented Mupasiri who also plays rugby, has been training with Dynamos hoping to impress Mutasa but the coach insisting on committed players, shut the door on him.
Mutasa who is trying to build his team on discipline and commitment released players who he viewed were as bad influence to other players.
Roderick Mutuma, Alimenda and Jacob Muzokomba were the senior players released at the expiry of their contracts.
