Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that they are yet to reach agreements with Willard Katsande and George Maluleka.

The contract negotiations are still ongoing between the club and the two midfielders as they look to tie down the two influential players ahead of next season.

In a statement on the club's official website, they confirmed, "Kaizer Chiefs also revealed that the talks with midfield kingpins George Maluleka and Willard Katsande are on-going and details of any progress will be conveyed via the teams communications channels."

The Khosi Nation’s minds can be put somewhat at ease in that Amakhosi have secured the contracts of Tsepo Masilela, Lucky Baloyi and Kgostso Moleko - while also exercising an option on Siphiwe Tshabalala.

The club had originally announced that it had hoped to secure the contracts of Maluleka and Katsande by February 3.
