Under-14 Ready For Craven Week
The Zimbabwe Under-14 School rugby side will have another practice match on Sunday ahead of their Paarl departure for the Craven Week Rugby Festival in South Africa.
Their preparations got into full swing over the weekend when the team held a training camp and played a practice match against Mbare Academy at Heritage school wining 25-7
Team manager Tan Dinhidza said that the practice match gave them the platform to relook into some departments that needed improvement before the Craven Week festival which kicks off from July 4-8 in Cape Town.
“All the players called up for the camp are in good spirit ready to participate in the forthcoming Craven Week festival,” said Dinhidza.
He praised the performance exhibited by the boys during the practice match against Mbare Academy and said that, if the performance is anything to go by, the boys are poised to bring back home positive results.
“The boys are working very hard and are ready for the battle in Cape Town,” said Dinhidza.
Dinhidza said all plans have gone according to plan so far and there was nothing to complain about.
“The support we have received from our parents and the Zimbabwe Rugby Union has been incredible,” said Dinhidza.
Dinhidza also pointed out that they were left with one more practice match on Sunday before they depart for Cape Town on July 2.
