Unbeaten Platinum Host In-Form Harare City

FORMER Harare City utility player Farai Madhananga has become a key player at defending champions FC Platinum and is proving to be one of the club’s best signings.

Madhananga has featured in all of FC Platinum’s matches so far, and his perfomances in central midfield have won him praises from Pure Platinum Play stand in coach Lizwe Sweswe.

FC Platinum are yet to taste defeat in five matches, having won four and drawn one and they have also not conceded.

The champions are two points behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars who have so far amassed 15.

“Farai (Madhananga) now has a lot of experience and it is evident by the way he has been playing in the team, he has adapted well into the way we prefer to play football,” said Sweswe.

The former Young Warriors defensive midfielder joined FC Platinum as a direct replacement for Gerald Takwara who is now at Ajax Cape Town in South Africa.

On Saturday, Madhananga comes face to face with his former paymasters Harare City in a league match at Mandava.
