Tsodzo Takes Over At Bantu
Chipo “Jack Roller” Tsodzo has taken over as the head coach at Bantu Rovers on an interim basis following the suspension of Johannes Ngodzo.
Ngodzo, who guided Bantu Rovers to the Zifa Southern Region Division 1 League, was suspended this week for going away from duty without official leave from the club.
Bantu Rovers General Manager Wilbert Sibanda told SportsZone that Tsodzo will take charge of the team in the upcoming matches as they prepare for the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Top-8 knockout tournament against ZRP Luveve on December 3.
“We had some minor disturbances within our camp but things are now under control now. We have elevated assistant coach Chipo Tsodzo to take charge of the team for now as we carry out our investigations,” Sibanda said.
Bantu Rovers have also suspended three senior players Zephaniah Ngodzo, Lineance Mpofu and Lindelani Ncube on allegations of inciting other players to demand bonuses for winning the championship.
