CAPS UNITED’S veteran striker Leonard Tsipa has been named the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League’s Player of the Month for September.

Dutch tactician, Erol Akbay is the Coach of the Month after guiding Highlanders to four straight wins during the same month.

The Premier Soccer League released the information on Wednesday afternoon with Tsipa emerging the winner ahead Bosso’s centre back Peter Muduhwa who was tipped by many pundits.

The 34-year-old Tsipa struck thrice against Triangle, Chicken Inn and How Mine to take his season’s tally to nine.

He is now joint top scorer with Hwange’s Gift Mbweti.

Akbay masterminded Highlanders’ victories over Border Strikers, the famous one against Dynamos, Harare City and recently Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Bosso have since closed the gap between them and log leaders FC Platinum to four points as the league enters the final five rounds.
