Triangle Pick First Point Of Season As Nichrut Remain Unbeaten

Highlanders saw their 100% record go up in smoke as they dropped points for the first time this season when they were held to a goalless draw by Triangle at Barbourfields Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Triangle arrived at Barbourfields stadium without a win or goal in their opening two matches of the season but were happy to leave Bulawayo with a point and without conceding.

Highlanders created the most chances in the match with Ozias Zibande failing to score in three clear-cut chances in the first. Triangle did little in front of goal save for two chances, one in the first half which fell to Courage Denias who failed to beat Ariel Sibanda in goal for Bosso and in the other chance towards the end of the game Phenias Bamusi failed to hit the target.

Elsewhere, Nichrut came from behind twice to force a 2-2 draw away to Shabanie Mine.

Richard Kawondera had done well to put Shabanie ahead in the 6th minute before Nichrut’s Nigel Mupinduki equalised a minute into the second half. David Temwanjira who had three goals going into the match scored his fourth of the season as Shabanie surged ahead again only for Farayi Vimisai to cancel the Chinda Boys lead with four minutes to play.

Results:

Highlanders 0-0 Triangle United

Shabanie Mine 2-2 Nichrut
