Timely Boost For Bosso

TITLE aspirants Highlanders will be backed their vociferous crowd when they play Bulawayo City at Barbourfields on Sunday after the club appealed against a Premier Soccer League stadium ban.

The league had ordered Bosso to play Sunday’s match in an empty stadium after being found guilty of missile throwing and pitch invasion by their fans in a league match against Chicken Inn.

The Bulawayo giants have however lodged an appeal which automatically sets aside the earlier verdict.

“The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between Highlanders FC and Bulawayo City FC scheduled for Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday 16 October will now be played before paying spectators,” said the league in a statement released by Communications and Media Liaison Officer Kudzai Bare.

The league however appealed to fans to desist from acts of violence.

“We appeal to football fans to desist from violence and invading of the pitch, before, during and after the matches,” said the league.
