The Crowd Will Be Key For Caps United - Hodges
Andy Hodges was the Caps United chairman in 2006 when Makepekepe last featured in the CAF Champions League and the revered administrator knows the importance of a vociferous crowd in the African safari.
Hodges is now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but still loves Makepekepe and is tipped for a return to the club that gave him administrative fame.
Posting on his Face book page Saturday morning Hodges urged Caps United to throng the National Sports on Sunday when Makepekepe host FC Lilli of Lesotho in the CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg.
Caps United need an outright win after drawing 0-0 in Maseru last weekend.
"The greatest games mean nothing without supporters” – Unknown.
“So lets see all Caps Utd supporters and in fact all football supporters at the NSS on Sunday to cheer on our team!!!” he posted.
Hodges also pleaded for supporters to throw away their local rivalry and rally behind Ngezi Platinum Stars who play Pamplemousse of Mauritius in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round second leg at the same venue today.
The reverse fixture ended 1-1 in Port Louis last Sunday.
“Same applies to Ngezi's game today. Both teams represent our country this weekend so lets cheer them both to victory please!!!”
