FC Barcelona's "MSN" and Real Madrid's "BBC" trios dominated the scoring charts in the past few campaigns, but this season other attacking trios have been more dangerous so far.

An old saying goes "money can't buy success", but if Paris Saint-Germain's potent forward line is anything to go by, money can surely buy goals.

Edinson Cavani, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have 22 strikes between them in 2017/18, more than any other trio in Europe, with games in the continent's top 10 leagues, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League taken into consideration.

PSG's Uruguayan striker leads the internal scoring charts with 11 goals, while Neymar follows with eight and Mbappe has scored three. The PSG trio is followed by three attacking partnerships that have netted 18 times each.

Pep Guardiola's forward line of Sergio Aguero (seven goals), Raheem Sterling (six goals) and Gabriel Jesus (five goals) and Jose Mourinho's trio of Romelu Lukaku (10 goals), Anthony Martial (four goals) and Marouane Fellaini (four goals) sit on 18 strikes, while Roberto Mancini's new frontline at Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg can matches the attacking trios of the two Manchester clubs.

FC Barcelona only follow in fifth place, with Lionel Messi providing the lion's share of goals. The Argentine has netted 13 times already this season, while Luis Suarez and Paulinho have both scored twice so far to take the Catalan side's three most dangerous players' tally to 17 goals.

They share fifth place with Juventus' attack line of Paulo Dybala (10 goals), Gonzalo Higuain (four goals) and Mario Mandzukic (three goals), as well as Lazio's trio consisting of Ciro Immobile (11 goals), Marco Parolo (three goals) and Luis Alberto (three goals).

Places eight to 10 are taken up by FC Porto, Monaco and Napoli's front lines, who have netted 16 times each.

Real Madrid's best trio only sits in joint 42nd place, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Isco having scored only nine goals between them so far this season.
