Teenage Hadebe's Chiefs Move Sparks Debate

WARRIORS defender Teenage Hadebe’s move to Kaizer Chiefs has sparked debate amongst the team’s supporters following news that the former Chicken Inn has penned a deal with Amakhosi.

Hadebe is expected to be unveiled at the Naturena sometime this week.

Kaizer Chiefs fans who commented on the Zimbabwean’s arrival had mixed views but most hailed the move.

"I don't see anything wrong with signing Zim players as long as they contribute to the team. Lastly, it's better to sign Teko Modise than Steven Pienaar,” one supporter told Laduma.

Below are some of the reactions carried by South African website Soccer Laduma.

"Eish, my club, though, I hope he deserves to wear that Gold and Black jersey, for we are tired of signing useless players... we ought to correct those signing errors." – kinghapper

"What has happened I cannot change, all I need to do now is to accept and hope for the best. Welcome boy, you've got my support now that you're here." – DopeZN

"A very good investment for Chiefs. Long-term contract is needed since the player is only 21 and can be an asset in the future." – [email protected]

"They need to change the name too, from Kaizer Chiefs to Kaizer Zimbabwe." – Phoyisa Mnisi

"I'm certain that Teenage Hadebe is better than all Pirates defenders combined, multiply by 11 plus loaned ones." – Hlasela_Khosi

"We are not complaining about all Zim players, we're complaining about Chiefs buying average Zim players. Yes, there are good quality players in Zimbabwe, but since Kaizer Chiefs cannot afford them, they are settling for average players." – indidane

"That's a quality defender, we need him, I saw him in the Zimbabwean squad, I don't know why we are complaining about Zimbabwean players. Billiat, Musona, Peter Ndlovu, Mugeyi brothers and Mushangazike are all Zimbabweans who really set the scene alight in the PSL." – dr ss zondi
