Stormers Too Good For Cheetahs....As Bulls Tame Lions

DHL Stormers were ruthless against Toyota Cheetahs winning 43-7 while Vodacom Blue Bulls tamed the Emirates Lions 38-17 in the pre-season warm up Old Mutual Super Rugby weekend at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Saturday.

The Stormers were in superb form with Damian de Allende getting the first try in the early stages of the match before Jaco Coetzee, Godlen Masimla, Siya Kolisi, Khanyo Ngcukana and Justin Phillips weighed in with their own tries.

Fielding a relatively youthful side, the Emirates Lions gave little resistance as the Bulls were 21-10 at half-time thanks to tries from Renaldo Bothman and Nick de Jager and a penalty.

Jamba Ulengo, Hanro Liebenberg and Shaun Adendorff added names on the try sheet in the second half as the Pretoria based side got the better of the reigning franchise champions.

Cheetahs were the winners of the pre-season tournament last season before it was increased to four teams this year.
